Black History Month Teaching Resource

PLEASE PROMOTE WIDELY ACROSS YOUR NETWORKS! Our very own Marie Clarke-Walker is featured in this learning guide about Black History Month. It is a fantastic accomplishment for our sister and for our community. Whether you are a teacher or a parent or a mentor, it is important to teach our children about their history. There is no minimum age requirement to teaching our youth about their history!

A Message from our Sisters&Brothers at CUPW

Help Save Canada Post!

The Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) is working with allies and communities to save Canada Post from the dramatic service cuts that CEO Deepak Chopra and the Conservatives are planning. Ending door-to-door delivery and hiking stamp prices is an attack on your public postal service.

Statement on Passing of Nelson Mandela

CBTU President Honors Life and Works of Nelson Mandela

Statement of Rev. Terry Melvin International President, Coalition of Black Trade Unionists

On December 5, 2013 the world lost one of its brightest and grandest stars. Nelson Mandela, father, president, hero and revolutionary passed away leaving behind a legacy and movement forever altered by his works and deeds.  Today we in CBTU mourn the loss of a dear friend and icon.  We honor the life he spent on this earth and cherish the fact that we were able to stand with him as he faced mountains and giants.
