Unfortunately, the CBTU New Year's Eve Gala had to be cancelled due to a low response. We would like to thank those that showed their support to the event, and hope to celebrate with all members in the new year.
The CBTU Awards Dinner and Dance held November 14th in Toronto was a tremendous success. Keynote speaker, Christopher Wilson from PSAC, made a riviting speech to the crowd entitled " The Party is Over", speaking to his vision of the role of the labour movement with respect to community building.
Tonight, Saturday November 14, the CBTU will hold its 13th annual Awards Dinner Dance at La Villa Banquet Hall. Single tickets cost $75.00, tables of 8 cost 600$. We hope to see you there!

On Tuesday, April 7, 2009, The CBTU Ontario Canada Chapter was presented with the J.S. Woodwarth Award by the NDP Caucus for its outstanding commitment to advancing the rights of minorities and immigrants, and eliminating racism. The presentation was made at the Legislative Building in Queen's Park Toronto to Andrea McCormack, 1st Vice-President, who accepted on the CBTU's behalf. Congratulations to all who made this possible!
